I took my 2 1/2 yr old to the dr today because she was wheezing with her new cold. She recieved a breathing treatment, and is on Prednisoione as well as an inhaler. She is sleeping in our bed tonight, and I am noticing her clamy and she is sweating some, like her hair is all wet. I took her temp, and changed her out of her blanket sleeper into something a little lighter, and her temp rectally was 97.2..... Is this an ok temp or is it too low??? Should I be concerned about her sweating or is it okay??? She's never had the breathing issues b4 but the treatment seemed to help her cough calm down and her breathe better. Is my girl gonna be okay??? I am very worried- I cant sleep because I am so worried.

Her temp sounds normal to me. My dd had to do breathing treatments off and on for about a year as when she was a week old she got RSV really bad and it weakend her lungs, but the breathing treatments always helped out when she had a cold. Try not to worry. I'm sure she'll be fine and you can always call the doctor if your really worried about it.

Actually, I think her sweating, my be sweating off a higher fever. And taking the temp rectally does not always give a accurate readying, so it was prb around 98 or so. Sarah gets like that when she has fever and it breaks. But if you are worried, call the doctor. That is what they are there for, trust me, mine is on speed dial!!!
