Pregnant Moms W Twins Movement

Hello ladies - I am currently 17 weeks pregnant with twins and have been feeling "almost consistent" movement for the past week or two. I seem to feel a lot of movement on my left side, with just a few pops on the right. Is this normal? I am trying not to worry about every little thing, but it's hard as you probably know!!! I went to the dr's on 10/24 and heard the 2 heartbeats and I go to the dr next on the 14th. It's hard to wait sometimes. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

The waiting is the worst part. When they were that small I could not tell which baby was moving. It all felt the same. at this point now one is down and one is up I can tell who is who in there. I'm sure everything is fine. If you have any pain or bleeding then worry otherwise I wouldn't worry. They probably move in the same space so It is hard to tell which one is doing the moving.

Thanks! I feel absolutely no pain or bleeding, so that is a good thing. It just I have a picture in my head of one being on the left and one on the right....but we know that is not the case!!! They probably are favoring one side at the moment, so I will just patiently wait for my next appointment! :-)

With my twins, I felt constant pounding on my right side and barely a flutter on my left. Its possible that both feet are facing the same direction or one twin is just more active than the other. They ARE individuals after all! My twins were head up and head down for most of the pregnancy so my baby A was just really active and my baby B was less so. Or maybe she was kicking her sister instead of me? who knows. As long as there are heartbeats and everything looks good to the Dr, you're doing fine! Try not to worry about it. If you can't help but worry (I understand)... go to walmart and buy the heartbeat listening device (gosh... I can't remember what its called) It's not too expensive and you can listen to heartbeats at 2am after you just had some crazy pregnancy induced nightmare about caring for 15 babies... (at least those are the dreams I had!) Anyway, good luck. I'm sure you're doing fine!

Thanks sphinx - didn't know Walmart had such a device for sale. I think it will make me feel a lot better. Of course, as always, hearing from you ladies that have been there and done that (or are doing it!) always makes me feel better. Thanks again!!!

Ha! I just remembered what its called. Bebe Sounds Prenatal Heart Listener. I'm pretty sure it works the same way the OB's does. Try eBay, too. You might get a deal on a slightly used one.

Cynthia502, Im 24 weeks with twin girls... I reached the point a few weeks ago where I can tell which one is which. The baby on the left I can always feel! However the baby on the right I feel less. In my opinon I just think it has alot to do with which baby is positioned where and who has more kicking space! Both of my babies are head up and I feel there heads at the very top of my stomach sometimes more than I feel there kicks... Every pregnancy is diffrent, I don't think you have anything to worry about = )
