I will be carring twins for a couple. The transfer takes place next month.. I have a daughter already. Is multiple birth much different?

I feel it is different. I have had more pregnancy symptoms, but everyone is different. I really admire you for doing that for a couple in need. Thats a noble thing to do. I'm 35 weeks and just waiting for these babies to come. Best of luck to you and they new parents.

My twin pregnancy was my only pregnancy so I don't have much of a frame of reference but I will say that during my pregnancy I didn't really relate to those ladies I knew who were going through singleton pregnancies, so yes I think it is quite different. I got bigger faster, those online pregnancy timeline things didn't really apply to me either. I found most of my support on multiple pregnancy sites like this one and twinstuff. Because I was carrying twins I had a few minor complications (gestational diabetes and PUPPS) that I probably wouldn't have had if I had a singleton (they were due to elevated hormones according to my doc). If the transfer is not until next month you could still end up carrying a singleton, but if both take twins sites (and for you surrogate sites) will offer a good support system. Good luck with the transfer, you're doing a wonderful thing.
